"Hi! This is Chris and on behalf of expertvillage.com in this clip we are going to talk about the importance of using a sleeping bag on a overnight trip for hiking. Now chosen a sleeping bag is very important chose. It is the one thing that is going to keep you comfortable during you trip overnight without question. Your sleeping bag would be kept in your large overnight backpack. I highly recommend using a down sleeping bag which this is a down sleeping which is feathers. As oppose to synthetics while synthetics bags are actually quiet good these days however they don't pack down as nicely and ultimately I don't believe they are as warm. Over years of experience I found that the down bags definitely keep you warmer in sub zero temperatures. Now sleeping bags could be washed just a like a normal piece of apparel it could go though your washing machine and then hung to dry as well. The most important thing you want to remember when using a down sleeping bag in the field is not to get it wet. Synthetic bags has one advantage and that is they would dry faster then a down bag. So it is very important to keep your down sleeping bag dry on your trail. Now when you are not using your sleeping bag at home it is important to store properly. They come with a sack like this for very important reason once you pack your sleeping bag down to be stored the down feathers could spread out and the bag could the shape much better then being packed down being into its sack for hiking. This could be hung in a cool dry place in your garage or inside your home."
