"Hi my name is Caleb Labarda I'm a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and today I am going to be teaching you how to do a 540. O'kay now we are going to be going over your spin. The spin technique is very important, how to spin and when to jump. Let's practice our spin. Let's just practice our 360 jumping one way so go ahead and prepivot and turn with the other foot, 360 all the way back around. Now you see how we did it, I picked up my knee and spun around. Your knee has to be tucked all the way to make your 540 look nice. Once again, from here spin all the way back around and that is going to be your 360 rotation so when I do it I am going to wind up using my shoulders to give me some leverage and I am going to throw it as we go into it. Sometimes I like to throw my arms out and then pull them back in so let's do it with our arms out. Wind up, prepivot and back in, nice and tight. So one more time, get a good stance, guards up, prepivot, spin and up, spin, 540 up and down and come back down and that is going to be another step to your 540."

on 9/13/2008 Hey, Caleb! I just wanted to ask you if you could possibly label your videos to where I would know what order I should watch them in. Also, any chance you could send me a weight-lifting regiment for Taekwondo? I trained with the Alexandrian National Team in Egypt but they didn't use weights. They did 4-step workouts like 20 squats, then 50 sit-ups, then 50 back crunches, and then 20 push-ups for four sets. Now that I'm back in the U.S. from my summer vacation there, I want to see if I can increase the power in my kicks and punches. The squats and back crunches have definitely helped out my form...I think. I really haven't had a chance to let someone see how well my form has improved. Also, you're forgetting one kind of kick. The double spin sidekick where one does a jumping reverse side kick and then comes in with the other leg and puts in another sidekick.
