"The lunge pose is a great way to lengthen out through your hip flexor and stretch through your thighs. So, we're going to have Faith demonstrate this for us now. She's going to come forward. She's going to bring her right foot forward and ground her foot in between her palms. Good. Now, to help Faith out a little bit. We're just going to extend her arms a little bit by placing blocks underneath her hands. This is going to allow her to lengthen out through her spine. Now, she's going to curl her toe under and lift up through her knee. She's going to press her heel back and squeeze through this thigh. So, we're trying to make this back leg just as straight as possible. Opening up her chest and melting her heart forward. She wants to make sure she keeps her shoulders out of her ears. And, keeps her neck in line with her spine. So, we have one long line of energy force going from the crown of the head all the way back down through the heel. She's going to act like she's actually pressing into the wall with her heel and reaching into the opposite side of the room with the crown of her head. Always lifting and opening up her heart. Knee is directly over that ankle for a stable position for her knee."
