"Hi! I'm Simone Fisher and I'm here at Clearwater Ice Arena in sunny Clearwater, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, we're going to introduce to you some advanced figure skating jumps. This is Victoria on the ice and she will be demonstrating a Double Axel. With the Double Axel, she's going to be skating backwards. She'll be jumping and she'll be in the air for 2 1/2 rotations, so it's going to be just like the single Axel, except it's going to be a rotation longer. The take off is going to be from an outside edge of one foot. She'll do the 2 1/2 rotations and the landing will be on the backward outside edge of the opposite foot of the take off. Looks like she's going to start that right now. She's getting ready. She's her jumping position, Double Axel, and out. Great. She always holds her landing and that was it. That was the Double Axel.
