"The first thing is if you want to adopt a ferret from Morning Starr or any other sanctuary, usually what you have to do is fill out an application. For us you go to www.morningstarr.org and go to our adoptions page, where you fill out an application online. After it’s received you would receive a phone call and probably have a few conversations about your lifestyle and whether a ferret is the right pet for you. I believe that ferrets are approximately 150 dollars to buy in pet shop. You usually get them there when they’re kit, just very young. When they’re young they can be very nippy. They’re obliviously not old enough to be socialized yet, so sometimes adopting an older ferret from a sanctuary that has already had skills of being socialized is a better solution."
