Is dry dog food as good as wet dog food? There have been numerous studies done over the years on nutritional value addressing this exact question. In my opinion, many puppies today come from a breeder who have no idea, again, what they're feeding their dogs. Often times customers tell me, "this is how the puppy came to me, eating this food". In my studies, the idea of a dry dog food in a bag reduces a lot of natural nutrition through storage preservatives and the baking process. To compare wet food, it is often said that wet food has higher protein, more moisture, as well as vitamins for your dog. In my research, and what I feed my own dogs, is a combination of both dry and wet. It is strictly your choice as the dog owner, but I would recommend a mixture of dry and wet food just to make sure your dog is getting a complete, nutritious, balanced diet.
