"Hi, I'm Jim Leske, animal trainer with Expert Village. Today we're talking about some of the basic commands for dog training and right now we're going to work on sit and stay while you walk around your dog. This is a very good training command to exercise your dog, build up their attention span and get them to completely focus on you getting them used to even more distractions. So, I've already put Bear into the sit, very good boy. The key here is that as long as I keep this treat on his nose, he's not going anywhere. So I can even drop the leash, sit, good boy, stay, very good boy, very very very good boy, and I can even gradually make the circle bigger. Sit, good boy, stay, stay, very good boy, very good boy. The idea is to gradually make the circle bigger and bigger and bigger. So, with that, I'm Jim, this is Bear and we'll be right back with coming from the sit position."
