"Hi! This is Elise McMahon for expertvillage.com and in this video series we are talking about teaching your dog reliable recall. If you would like to find out more about my services, you can visit my website at www.canineheadstart.com. In this video clip, we are going to be talking about one of the other games you can play to teach your dog a reliable recall and in this game, we are actually going to be using round robin recall type game. We are going to be using 2 people and rather than having it be an ecstatic game where the dog just goes back and forth in the same pattern, we are actually going to be switching positions. So if the dog decides that he knows where he is going and he turns around, the person won't be there. We are going to be using his emergency recall, his e-call in this situation which is the word now. So we are going to be calling Teddy now and when he comes giving him treats and the other person is going to call and we'll just show you how this game goes. Teddy now, yes good boy! Good job. Teddy now. Good boy! Good boy! Teddy, now. Yes good boy! Teddy now. Good boy! Teddy now. Good boy. Good job. Teddy now. Good boy. There you go. Good! So that is an example of a round robin recall. We only got 2 people. You definitely want to do that movement pattern so that the dog can't determine where you are going to go and decide to just run back and forth between the 2 people because he never knows where you are actually going to be. If you've got more people, that's even better. "
