"On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Carl Puentes from K-9 Solutions from Miami, Florida and today I am going to show you dog training techniques from my new book, "Who is Training Whom." Okay when you are training your dog to sit, you want to make sure you never pull backwards. This way is no good. It is too uncomfortable on the dog's neck or up. You always want to pull forward and up at an angle. This way would be too forward but this way up and forward is better. It is more comfortable for the dog. For example, if you are going to sit down, most people are going to sit down like this or backwards is even worse. Most people are going to put their head forward when they sit down. So always put yourself in the dog's spot when you are training him. That it will be comfortable for the dog and it will be a happy experience. "
