"Another tool that you can use for your dog's nails, a dremel. This is just a dremel that you would buy at a hardware store. There are several tips that you can use. I like to use the sandpaper tip for the dog's nails. This kind of finishes it off, and, to where it's not sharp on the edges for you. Important thing when using a dremel is, it feels funny to the dog, so you want to hold their nail pretty loose. You can see that when I'm doing it, the toe is moving. If you hold it down like this and push, it bothers her more. So you want to leave that loose, and let it move around, to where it doesn't bother her as much. You round off the edges, so that when she touches you, with her paw, it doesn't scratch you. Now Sadie has nice, dremeled nails."

on 8/2/2008 Watch her hands. She could do this in her sleep. She has done this hundreds of times. If I still lived in Clearwater Florida, I would call her to groom my three-hundred pounds of dog: 132, 105, and 75 lbs. However, I live in Washington state so I just bought a Dremel and it is harder than it looks. The tool scares the two smaller dogs. The big dog, who needs it most, tolerates it with treats. I tried it on my nails to test how hot it gets and it heats up quick! I do very short duration contact to keep the heat down. Great video.
