"Now we are going to take the bunny hop to a real jump. What I just did may seem a little bit scary especially if you are still figuring out all of your bunny hops but is basically the same motion being applied all of a sudden on a jump; happens to have a real big lip on it. Sends you up a little bit higher but at the same time it is a little bit nice because it actually requires a lot less energy to be expended. Basically you don't have to pull up as hard or tuck as hard. The natural arc that the jump will send you on does that more or less for you. At the same time having good bunny hop skills for this really makes this possible to really figure out how to get good air off from jumps and have good control which is ultimately the most important thing. Because it is one of those things the faster you start going, the higher you start going, the more issues you are going to run into if you start crashing and no one wants to do that. So basically if you just keep in mind that riding a jump isn't really that much different than just doing a bunny hop and just take certain steps to apply the bunny hop skills that you already have to riding a jump, then you are going to be good to go."
