"The reverse rudder are some of the forward rudders only when I want to get to my rudder position I'm going to be pushing from the back of my boat outwards. I don't want to pull my front hand back towards me cause this would break too much water on the back side of my paddle. All I want to do is around, sweep and pass. This can be a more powerful way to turn a boat when we are on a wave. One thing to remember is that you always want to lead in your turn so if I'm going to turn on my left, I look at my eyes first, I'm going to spin the boat. If I add a little stern squirt to this I can really pull the boat up and that can also help keep from curving the bow of the boat. That would work best if you have a little full power to your wave.
