"Were going to start off on the mat with either traditional Indian style, which is something that you?re very commonly see in yoga. Half lotus, you can pull one foot up on top of your leg. If you want to go full lotus, but in a warm up I'd highly suggest just starting off in an Indian style position. Once you've anchored hips to the floor, I want you to think of lifting through the top of your head, retracting in the scalpia and anchoring good pelvic positioning and posture before you start adding in any lateral movement. Then I want you to just take and rest your elbow on your knee and lift up and try to look up towards your finger tips and were going to reach up on the diagonal. Feel the stretch all the way to our obliques up to our finger tips and exhale. Always keep breathing and then you can either set this hand beside you for stability and balance or you can bring it and just let it rest on your other thigh and were going to reach up. Find our active range of motion, our stopping point where we feel that stretch, and look up towards your finger and release the cervical. Inhale and exhale down and again you can place a hand out here if you need that extra balance and reach up and if it gets uncomfortable sitting with one foot in front of the other just simply switch it out and reach. If your ready for half lotus or full lotus you can go back in. Take your hands directly underneath your shoulders behind you and point your chest out and release, inhale and exhale and then relax back into neutral position."
