Hi. I'm Suzanne Von Schaack and I'm here with Expert Village. Today we're going to talk about the baton. I've been using this baton for years. In fact, still, even though this is not a profession of mine, when I get nervous around the house, I take it out and I just run it through my fingers. When I was younger, I used to not only tour with one baton, but two. And also with fire. I don't think I would do that now because I don't do this every day. But today, I'm going to teach you about the baton. It's a little bit of a lost art. There's a lot of flag twirling, but not a lot of baton twirling. Let me give you a few highlights of what I'm going to show you. Of course, I'm going to slow it down for a little bit so you can watch along. But these are broad strokes. Or we can do hand to hand. The figure eight is where we'll start. Horizontal figure eight. And then combinations where it looks like you're doing a lot, but basically you're just passing the baton. So stick with me. I'm going to show you how to do it.
