Video Transcript

"Hi, my name is Juan Carlos with Expert Village. In this segment I'm going to teach you how to be a switch hitter. In this segment we're going to illustrate a left handed swing from this side of the plate. Now just like the right side, you definitely want to be balanced. You don't want to be too wide. You want to have the hands up, you want to have the bat at an angle. The first step is to step forward with the lead foot. The second step on the back foot tilting at a 45 degrees. Once again you don't want to be on your toe or on the back of your foot. It will cause the weight to shift on the front leg. You definitely want the power to be on your back leg because that is where all the power comes from. Then the third step is the turning of the hits that is the jerking of the hits forward, the snapping of the elbow and then the wrist and we finish the swing. "
