"All right. Something else with your hockey stick you might want to consider is the flex in your stick. The flex is, basically, how much it will bend in the shaft area when you go to pass or shoot. Most guys, most adults, use a stiffer one. If you're just starting out, I recommend a medium flex. Maybe somewhere around there would be good for you. It's not a big deal. You'll still be able to shoot. But the more flex, the more powerful your shot is going to be and the more power you can put behind a shot. Basically, what it does is it boomerangs. When you go to take a shot, you're going to flex it, like that, and then shoot it. And it just gives that extra boomerang effect to it. And it will fling the puck farther, or the ball. But whatever you prefer. It's your preference. It's your opinion."
