"Hi! I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make a green bean casserole as part of your delicious Thanksgiving day dinner. Our final step before our casserole is done is of course, to put it in the oven. Now, because the ingredients should be about room temperature, we don't have to have them in for too long. If this were coming from the refrigerator, say if you would have assembled this earlier in the day. Actually, that's a very important point to make. Other than putting the onion topping on top, if you need to you can assemble this casserole earlier during the day of Thanksgiving and then pop it into the oven closer to the time that you want to serve it. The important thing to remember is not to put the topping on until the very last because you don't want it to have time to soak up the soup inside the casserole and to lose some of the crunchiness. How long you want to put it in the oven depends on the temperature of the casserole when you're putting it in. Like I said, right now we're putting it in at room temperature, so we're going to have it in the oven for about 25 minutes. I'm putting it into the oven. Make sure that you use pot holders to pull the oven shelf out so that you're not reaching too far in. Then you want to place the casserole right in the middle of the shelf, push it all the way back in, and then we're good for another 25 minutes."
