"Today, we're going to talk about how to pick out fresh celery. A few different things to look for, a lot of times, they'll just chop these ends off so they look a little more fresh. They didn't' get to this one. That's what you want to stay away from. Any kind of weird little brownish leaves on them. All those bad ends, I mean you can cut it off, but why would you buy it if there's a better one, you know, you want to stay away from that. Another thing you're looking for is the crispness. This one is a little bit squishy. Just give it a pinch like that on the side. This one is a little bit squishy, not quite as crisp. You want to stay away from those. Looking for something a little more like this. Nice and clean on the top. Looks pretty good all the way around, there's no brown spots or anything and that's going to have a nice crisp break to it, it's pretty, pretty solid. There's a lot of juice in there, too. That's what you're looking for, the nice, hard solid ones. A lot of people look at the bottom sometime. They cut these off too, usually these come out a little farther, they cut them right off. It gets rid of any kind of maybe brown spots or soft spots, but you want to take a look at that and make sure it's pretty solid on the bottom, you know, you don't want it to give too much. But that's basically what you're looking for is that nice hard, it's crisp, you know, it's not squishy. You don't want them to be squishy when you push on them like that. That's what you're looking for."
