"Now we're going to demonstrate how to clean a dungeness crab you can see the claw and the legs pull off relatively easy there's meat within the body that we can just peel away the shell to get to. But as far as the claws and the legs that actually really some good meat inside there as well, so to get through the shell it's a little messy to use a mallet, I like to use crab crackers in this sense. And I don't want to press down to hard on this because there's really delicate meat on the inside, so just to crack along the length of it and pop that open, pop that through and there is crack meat cleaned out of the shell, and we'll do the exact same thing with the rest of the legs."
