"On behalf of Expert Village I'm Laura Bandford and I'm going to teach you how to make a delicious chicken pot pie. This is our thickened sauce with all our vegetables; carrots, onions, celery and potatoes. We made our roux, added our liquid and let it simmer. It has thickened up, now we are going to add our chicken which we poached, cooled and diced. You see it is a little bit pink, it has just barely cooked you don't want to over cook it because it still has to go into the oven for thirty to forty minutes. If you really fully cook that that would be too much cooking, it would be dried and tough, you want to stir that in. Finally we have our frozen petite peas, let them thaw a little and I also have some dill, love that dill and margam. The herbs go in it at the very end so they hold on to their vibrant flavor, that is where their best used at the end of the dish. We are going to drop those in, stir that around and let that heat through and our stew is complete. In the next clip we are going to start to assemble our pot pie, I'll see you then."
