"Another wonderful and very, very healthy vegetable is a squash. A zucchini squash. Also called Italian squash, which is my favorite since I'm Italian. The best way to cut a zucchini squash or any other squash is to first get rid of both ends and cut it lengthwise down the middle. You have two nice long consistent pieces. Now depending on what you're going to use the zucchini for, say if you were using it for crudities, you'd maybe just want to cut it in pieces such as that length or distance and maybe in half. And now you have zucchini sticks which you can use for fried zucchini and what not. These zucchini have a destination. They're going to be part of my vegetable saute, so I'm going to cut them a little bit smaller. So you'll note that I have now thirded and quartered them. Thirded. Did that make sense? and quartered them. And then I'm going to do that trick of pivoting them all around, so that I can line them up and make some more cuts. Just like that. I'm using my nice sharp chef's knife again, to give you beautiful, consistent zucchini chunks."
