Series Summary

Fudge is a rich creamy candy made from sugar, butter and milk, and often flavored with cocoa to make chocolate fudge. Fudge acquires it's signature smooth and creamy taste from being mixed while it cools. It originated in the United States in the late 1800's after a mishap with a batch of caramels resulted in the first batch of fudge. Today, fudge can be found at almost any candy shop and comes in many varieties, from chocolate, to peanut butter, to marshmallow. It is a favorite dessert at any time of the year, but is especially popular during the Christmas holiday season.

In this free video series, our expert will teach you how to make a delicious chocolate fudge recipe. You will get expert tips for melting the butter, adding the ingredients and the chocolate and marshmallows. You will also get tips for letting your fudge harden and removing it from the wrapping. You will even learn how to make beautiful gift boxes for your fudge to give to your friends and family this holiday season.

Video Transcript

"Hi! I'm Terri Turco with Expert Village, and today I'm going to be making homemade fudge. I am expert at making homemade fudge. The reason being, I've been making it for over 20 years. It started when I was very young. Through the 20 years of making fudge, giving them as gifts, using them as entertaining presents, or serving them to my guests, people have always commented that I make the very best fudge. Now, fudge is really very simple to make, but it's the technique in making that fudge that really make the difference between a really good smooth light tasting fudge, or something that's a little bit too sugary. What my goal for you is to really show you the techniques that I've held for 20 years, and show you how you can very easily make this homemade fudge. It's going to be great for gift giving, and there's a side bar, because I'll also show you not only how to cut fudge, because there is special way to cut it, but also how to package it. I think you're going to enjoy this small segment on homemade fudge. It's going to be so yummy. Your friends and your family will calling asking for homemade fudge. It's a little to expensive to mail priority, so just tell them to come over to your house and pick it up. We're going to get started. Join me as I go to the stove, to show you how to make the best fudge you'll ever taste in your life. Okay, let's get going. "
