"In this clip we're going to talk about the proper method to remove, replace, and diagnose a turn signal bulb and socket on a 91 Ford Explorer. In this step we're going to talk about the proper way to install your new turn signal bulb and the proper way to install your bulb and socket assembly into the lamp itself. Now they can be a little tricky because they have all these different tabs that need to line up into the slot and then it rotates into position to hold it still. Before you assemble it your going to want to make sure that the weather seal is on your replacement, you can see this here. That is what keeps moisture from outside of the lamp assembly. What I'm going to do is take my bulb, this bulb will plug in either direction. This way or this way. Take and plug it in until you hear the click, right there. That's properly seated. Take and slide my bulb down into the area where the lamp is located, right here. Once you have all your tabs lined up correctly the bulb will drop in and you will rotate it farther to lock it in position. And that is locked in position. Check your wiring to make sure it is not rubbing on anything. That is the proper method for installing your new turn signal socket and bulb into the lamp assembly."
