"Hi, I'm Doug. I work with twenty great guys, in St. Louis, at Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. Now, Mark is going to use our fancy transmission stand to move the transmission across the shop floor. We're getting ready, now, to put the Torque converter in and install the transmission on the engine. I suspect Mark is going to do this all in one fell swoop, since the engine and the transmission here is all custom. The Torque converter lines up with these splines in two different steps. Sometimes you can do it horizontally, like he's doing here. Sometimes, if they're real tough to install, you'll have to stand the transmission up on end and wiggle it, and jerk it, and swear at it to get it to go in there. And, you can kind of tell, he's just kind of wiggling it around there and pushing it real gentle, and clunk, you can tell when it fit. Then he reaches around with his fingers, if there's just barely enough to get your fingers in there, then you've got it about right."
