Video Transcript

" Hello! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I will be talking about how to check your coolant level. The first step in checking your coolant level is to pop the hood and locate your coolant reservoir. Usually it is located along one of the far sides of the car. On this car it is located on the left side. The cap will probably say engine coolant only. Once you locate the reservoir, take a look on the side of it. There should be indicators as to the cold level, and some even have a warm level indicator. Since coolant expands as it is heated, the reservoir will be at different levels depending on the temperature of your engine. You should check your engine coolant level when the engine is cold. If the level is below the indicator for your engine, you will need to add more coolant until it reaches that level. "
