"Hi, this is Jeff Wong with Expert Village and today we're going to learn the basics of maintaining your vehicle. Alright the next thing we're going to check is your air filter. Usually it's located on one of the sides of your engine bay. And you want to look for a big black, usually plastic box. And the way to release the cover is to look for metal tabs which you can push and pop off. Usually this doesn't require tools. And then you should be able to lift the top of the cover off to expose your air filter. So to remove the air filter, simply pick it up and take it out. You can look. This filter is a little bit dirty but it's not too bad overall. And to replace this air filter, you would just go to your auto parts store and look up the make and model of your vehicle and you should be able to find a corresponding filter. Now if the filter is not too dirty, you can take a little compressed air and blow it backwards and blow some of this debris out. So you also want to check inside your air box and see if there's any large particles, such as leaves and pull those out if those are inside. There's usually a rubber seal along the edge and be sure that lines up with the edge of your air box. And the thing is firmly seated. Then slide your cover into place and be sure that it lines up with the edges of the bottom of the box. And pull your clips back onto the box and snap them into place one by one."
