Summary: Are your car's tires low on air? Learn how to fill your car tires with air in this free video.
" Hi! This is John on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will be talking about how to inflate tires. The first thing that you need to do is locate the proper pressures to inflate your tires. On this vehicle, it is located on the inside of the driver’s side door. We are going to do the rear tire here which says that it should be 35 pounds per square inch. The next thing that you need to do is locate your tire, your valve stem and remove that valve stem cap and test the pressure that your tire is. This one reads that it is just less than 20 pounds per square inch so we need to add a little bit of air. Now when it comes to adding air into your tires, there are a couple of different ways you can do this. What I am going to use is a tire gauge that is affixed to an air compressor and that will help allow air into the tire. The other way is you could use a manual hand pump, which will take quite a while but it will give you the same affect. With this tool here, there is a built-in tire pressure gauge, so as I am adding air it will tell me exactly what pressure my tire is at. Once you’ve finished putting air into your tire, I like to come back and test it again with our tire pressure gauge and as we take a look at it, it is a little above 35 pounds per square inch. So I am going to take the backside of my tire gauge and press in the valve stem that will release some of the air and allow me to test it again; we are sitting at 35 pounds per square inch. "
