"So in conclusion, remember why you do triathlon, and you do it because it's fun. And keep that at the forefront of what you're doing. And it's also a lifestyle. Tri-athletes enjoy a high level of fitness. They're usually fun to be around, more motivated workers, and there's a great camaraderie that comes from the training and from the competitions. So enjoy the lifestyle, the active lifestyle of being outdoors, taking good care of your body, the nutrition, the diet, all those things that go along with it. Vary your routine, try different things, learn all the time. Read all the different things that you can on training, and try different things. Get involved with groups, whether it's local clubs, local events, new training partners, those things, and be flexible with the weather. Since you're training in four different disciplines, when you include the strength training, really you have a great deal of flexibility over people who say, just ride their bike all the time. So you get the ability to say, 'hey, it's supposed to be sunny in a few days' and you can plan your long ride on that day. So enjoy yourself, have fun, and make it a lifestyle."
