"ALEXSON ROY: So the first issue or the first condition we're going to focus on as far as sports-related massage therapy conditions is the--what I--I don't call it, they call it--is on the inside, it's called the tennis elbow, okay? So what we're going to actually do is from the epicondyle that we were talking about, we're going to kinda like stretch and pull, okay, stretch and pull. Now, you're not really harming the client when you this, okay, 'cause you need to be real soft. You don't need to force anything. But when you do this, you really want to focus on anything that has to do with the forearms. In here, it's really tight. I mean, when they have this condition, this muscle gets so tight. It cuts off circulation. They might feel some numbness in their hand. All type of things come from there. So a real good massage for this is just, kinda like, squeeze the arm and pull away. Squeeze the arm and pull away, and just open it up a little bit 'cause you need--you want to really create some circulation in there. Because if you don't, then it stays tense, really. There's really nothing else you can do as far as releasing any type of tension in this particular muscle here. They call this the longus brevis because it's on the outside of, like, the hand, which is the brevis part, and this is the thumb. So you want to just focus along the outside of the hand close to the pinky. So squeeze and pull. And then next, we'll work on golfer's elbow."
