"Hi! I'm Rob Lowes from Carlson Wagonlit and Lowes Travel on behalf of expertvillage.com. Today we are going to talk about trip advisor. In this clip, I am going to speak about cancellation insurance. A professional trip advisor would be doing you a disservice if they did not offer you cancellation on your travel purchases. There are many variable out there if you have no control over. For example, if you can't get to the airport because the roads are closed or the flight has been canceled, your cancellation insurance protection would kick in and help you either catch up with your trip or pay the money back if you weren't able to get to your trip. There are many instances where there is an accidental death in the family, or an illness that could not be foreseen. Those are numerous options that are carried under cancellation insurance and it is certainly wise to purchase that. A good rule of thumb is that a good insurance policy would cost you about 10 percent of the trip costs and it highly advisable to by cancellation insurance. You just never know what could go wrong unless you can afford to buy another trip again and I strongly urge you to buy cancellation insurance. I have heard many many stories where people spend thousands of dollars on a trip, declaim the insurance and only to find out that the supplier will not refund their money and many, many things prepaid especially, hotel rooms that are bought on line tend to be full payment and no refund You can buy cancellation insurance on that and you can even call us if you've bought something on line and you want to insure it. You can give the travel agent a call and tell them you want to buy some cancellation insurance on your purchase. We can still sell you the insurance even if we didn't sell you the product. "
