i agree about not blowing the brush and to tap it instead. but of course you can use your hands to apply make-up nearly every proffesional uses their middle or ring finger to apply. sponges just absorb the makeup causing not enough coverage to the face. also spreading dirt from previous applications.

Do you know how much bacteria you transfer to a brush when you blow on it?! Not only does air come out of your mouth but lots of saliva droplets! Totally unprofessional when working on someone else. The correct thing to do is TAP the brush against the side of the eyeshadow container. Gross!
