on 8/2/2008 Talk about using common sense. I never thought to use pliers to hold staples in place. I also used my fingers and fumbled with them. Thanks

" Hi, I am Drew Fendy here today to demonstrate how to install a jack for your telephone for ExpertVillage.com. we are sent to show you how to put the staples in. we have got these nice staples which are going to go in here. If we tried to do it with our hand, we would hit our finger for sure, so I like using the needle nose pliers. We grab the stapler like that, get the wire, be sure that we miss the wire and we can just tack it right in. and you want it so that there is just a little bit of play in the wire. So do not pound it in and kill it, just get it so that it is a little snug, there we go. See it just barely bit it and that is what we want. So you have the wire fairly secure throughout the installation so that it is not hanging down, does not get caught on things and people will not hang stuff on it. if you run it along a baseboard you can hide it right along the edge so that it is not dangling out and no one steps on that either.
