Video Transcript

"Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I am going to show you how to easily care your Thanksgiving Day turkey. Our first step before we start actually carving our turkey is to discuss the equipment and ingredients that we will need. Of course your only ingredient is your turkey. A well cooked turkey should not be too much problem to cut once you find the joints and get the right spots. Secondly, the knife. The knife is extremely important because this is what you are going to do - is cut a turkey. I will go into different types of knives in just a moment. Next you will need a fork to hold the turkey. Either stick the fork in the turkey to hold it or if you have waited long enough then your turkey might be cool enough to hold in your hands. Either way, you want to make sure it is kept steady while you are slicing away. Next, the cutting board. And this is very important as something to put your turkey on. Hopefully it will have an edge in which to collect any juices from your juicy turkey and it also must be something that's not going to dull the knife once it cuts through. And of course, something to protect the counter top. And last but not least, you want some type of serving platter on which to put your turkey."
