Hi I’m Manny Castro, exercise physiologist. For this next exercise called the rear delt pull, I’ve chosen to use the greater resistance tubing in the longer length and I’ve taken the hand grips off of this tubing. Now for my length of arms and for my resistance choice, what I am going to do is choke up on the length of this and my starting position will be here and my arms are straight. Once again, my elbows are nice and straight and I am pulling all the way out till my arms are parallel and 90 degrees all the way. Now if I want to add more resistance, I’ll grip if shorter and once again, pull. Once again I want to do about 3 sets of about 15 to 20 repetitions and this should do the trick. Now remember you are working the rear shoulders and so what you want to do is when you reach the back, you want to concentrate on squeezing those muscles. Relax them when your arms come forward and squeeze them when your arms go backwards.
