In this segment we're going to talk about organizing your business with a chart of organization. If you're a new business, you are doing certain operations in your business, but do you have them detailed out in an orderly fashion? This is absolutely necessary when you're going to franchise your business because you're going to assign these tasks to other people as you grow from one job to the next. Those 4 components initially should be your CEO, that would be yourself, your CFO for finance, COO for operations, the VP of marketing and a VP of human resources. Let's look at each one of those. The CEO oversees everything else that's going on in the business. Second on your finance, your CFO. If you have your financial system into place with your software. If you have an outside bookkeeper or if you have one in the office, you're going to have a system that they go by that you understand fully, but you're going manualize that in order for them to understand exactly what you expect. If they leave you now have manual for the next person to follow. Keep in mind how important that is. Same thing with operations. All of these are part of operations and they tie together in a neat little package so if again, if you replace someone get the operations manual and you will follow it. Next is your VP of marketing. Now, this is critical. Whoever has that job must have it detailed out so you know exactly where you're going with your marketing and what the results are. We'll get into that more detailed a little later. However, if that plan is in place the same thing follows. Then your VP of human resources so they understand exactly how you handle your employees so there's no confusion of different systems. Just like I said. So if you follow those procedures you'll be fine.
