Hi there! I'm Fran Friedman from Morning Star Animal Sanctuary and I want to just summarize about traveling with ferrets. Ferrets can be stressed little animals. Make sure that your carrier or your cage is proper for the distance you are traveling. Short distances; remember small cage is good, stuffed with lots of blankets. Let's see how this guy likes it even without the blanket. Okay, just go in there. They are usually pretty easy. If you are with them, they don't mind. They'll go, there you go. There's a ferret ready for travel. That's definitely a short distance. Remember food, water, litter box, blankets, larger cage, hammock preferably for them when you are going on long trips. Make sure you take food and toys that they are familiar with and you should have a good travel. Lots of water; bring a case, not a bottle or two just in case you get stranded and you live in a place where it is hot. If it is cold, make sure you stuff it with lot more blankets and that the ferrets are warm because the body temperature is quite high; higher than ours and they would feel chilled without them. So you like to go on a trip, here you go.
