While tubular tires offer many advantages over the more common clincher version, they can be more difficult to change in the case of a flat. In this video, Brian Grasky shows you his technique for gluing a tubular using Tufo rim tape.
First, stretch the new tire with your foot and then place it on a clean rim with no adhesive. If you have time, leave it on the rim for several hours.
Step2
Next, place the two-sided Tufo rim tape on the rim leaving a gap at the valve stem hole. To make removing the tire easier in case of a flat, you can also leave a two-inch gap in tape directly opposite the valve stem.
Step3
Peel back two inches of the protective foil from the rim tape and leave the "ears" sticking out.
Step4
Place the tire on the rim starting at the valve stem being careful to leave your rim tape "ears" exposed. Once the tire is centered on the rim, pull the rim tape foil out from between the rim and the tire thus exposing the adhesive on both sides.
Step5
Lastly, air up the tire and roll it on the ground in order to seat the tire snugly into the rim.

Looks like this guy is shilling for Tufo. Glue tape "works" but anybody who says it works as well as conventional glue is usually selling Tufo tape.
