Hi, I'm Patrick Coll, and I'm here today to talk about how you get sound from an iPad. So you may have got your iPad and it's not making any sound when you would expect it to when you are watching an Instagram video or YouTube video and you are wondering why that is. A common culprit in these cases is the ringer switch. Now if the ringer switch is turned off like that and it goes to silent so you won't hear anything. You will hear things in other areas of your iPad, but when you are using apps like Instagram you are not going to hear anything so you want to make sure that's turned on, the ringer switch press up the volume button, the volume button is beside that. If it's all the way down, it goes to mute and you are still not going to hear anything so you want to make sure that's turned all the way up. You can also go to your settings, there's a volume slider here too, there we go and you can change it with the buttons or turn that off with this button here and you can set different sounds for different alerts as well. You can also tell it that you want it to make a sound when you lock it or when you use the keyboard or you can turn those off. So this is how you control the sounds by going to settings and sounds. Yeah, that's how you get sound from an iPad. I'm Patrick Coll. Hope this has been helpful. Thank you for watching.
