Hi, my name is Luke. And this is how to delete the icon cache in Vista programs. The icon cache is what Vista and Microsoft operating systems use to build the image or the icon associated with different files and programs. To delete the icon cache, what you're going to need to do is go to this link. Where it says User Name, you're going to need to enter your user name. But for now, copy this link, open a documents folder and paste it in the top. Change user dash name to your user name and then, press enter. Here in this folder towards the bottom, you should see icon cache dot DB. Right click and delete this file. Then restart your computer. Windows Vista will automatically rebuild the icon cache and restore this file. And that's it.
