Hi, I'm Patrick Coll, and I'm here today to answer the question why are some of my text messages green and some are blue. So you may have been texting with your iPhone and noticed that sometimes your messages show up blue and sometimes they show up green and you are wondering why this is. Very simply if you are texting with someone else who has an iPhone or an iPad or even their Mac where they have messages set up, you are very likely using iMessage through the iCloud service in which case your text messages are going to show up blue. If not, you are sending regular texts and they show up green. Ways that you can check if it's on your end or not, we can go to settings, we'll come down to messages and you'll see iMessage is on. If I turned iMessage off, then all my texts would be in green. So if someone is texting you and it shows up green but they have an iPhone, they may not be using iMessage through iCloud and this is essentially the difference between the green and the blue when it comes to text messaging. I'm Patrick Coll. I hope this has been helpful. Thank you for watching.
