Hi my name is Luke. And this is what does power saving mode mean? Power saving mode or power saver is one of the default power options in Windows. What it does is reduce the performance of your Windows experience. But in exchange you get more power or a longer battery life. So if you are operating away from a wall outlet and you need to save battery life power saver mode is the way to go. To see what power option you are using right click on the icon that looks like a plug and a battery. Now left click power options. This will bring up all your different power plans. Next to the power saver icon or option make sure that the dot is selected. This means you're in power saver mode. To see details to what the power saver mode does hit change plan settings. You can see when Windows will dim the display depending on if you're on battery or plugged in. For more advanced ways that Windows is helping you to save power you can click change advanced power settings. And this will give you a detailed view. And that's it.
