Hi, I'm Xtah, and this is the difference between a pomade and a styling cream. A pomade is an oil based kind of like grease based paste. Well a cream is going to be more onto the creamy milky, it doesn't have all that like grease base to it and so the way you want to use it is just whatever way you wish to style your hair. The pomade is going to give you a look that is more of like a 50s greaser where the styling cream is going to just kind of give you a little bit of a hold but not like hairspray or anything. It's just going to help you when you dry your hair to stay in place. It's much less hold and not as greasy.
