I'm Aaron Tucker, and this is how to take care of a fedora hat. If you want to take care of your hat and get the most life out of it you want to keep your hat clean first of all. At the end of every wear you can take either a lint brush or even tape or a lint roller to remove any particles off your hat. Just brush it free of any dust or dirt particles because you don't want to store it dirty like that, overtime the dirt will set in, breakdown the fibers of your fedora and it's just not gonna be a good looking hat. Also, how you store it is a good idea. You want to make sure you take your fedora and you're storing it on the crown. The crown is the sturdiest most secure part of your hat so it can take the majority of the weight. It's not gonna bend out of shape if you store your hat upside down. In contrast if you store your hat resting on the brim, over time the brim is gonna break down and it's not gonna sit properly on your head. If you have a hat box; of course store your hat in a hat box. If not store it on a shelf where your hat will be free from any other objects that'll fall or rest on top of it which will cause your hat to become misshaped.
