My name is Susan Combs, and today we're going to talk about insurance marketing strategies. When it comes to insurance marketing strategies, there's really kind of two components people look at, people want the least expensive coverage and they want the best coverage but sometimes those don't always line up. So you really need to learn about your client and learn exactly what their concerns are. I usually start with something like you know, what's keeping you up at night? What are you concerned about? What is the worst case scenario that would happen to your company or happen to yourself that you want to make sure that you are protected? So if they give you a picture and then you know exactly which products and things to market and that helps to develop your strategy. So in terms of say health insurance, if you have somebody that says to you look I have a child that is a tree climber and they are always falling out of the tree and we are always going to the emergency room or you have somebody that says I have a child that's allergic to everything and they are getting allergy shots on a weekly basis or you have somebody that says to you look I haven't been to the doctor in six years, I'm healthy as a horse type of thing, then those two strategies are going to be drastically different. So you want to really listen to the client and then that will help you sell the client because that will help to develop your strategies and you can show them only products that you know are going to be more applicable to them.
