Hi, I'm Ted. Today, I'm gonna show you how to add in Excel. Excel is a very powerful tool for being able to do very quickly the things that are very tedious to do, such as on a pocket calculator. So what you do for any formula in Excel is you go to the cell where you want the result to be, you click on the cell, and you type an equal sign, and what that will do is that will start something entering in in the formula bar up here. And when you type an equal sign, Excel knows right away that it's going to be a formula, it's gonna do some calculations. Then what you do is you click on the first cell you want to add, which is over here, the first number, so that's cell A2, then you type a plus sign, then you click over here on the next cell and type another plus sign, and then finally go over here on the third number, click on it, and now hit a return, and there you go. There you have the numbers, one plus two plus three is six. Now, what we want to do is we want to copy that formula to the other cells. Now of course would could go in here, we could do the same thing for the next line and the next line, but that would be very tedious. A quicker way to do it is just to go back and click again on that cell, just single-click, don't double-click, and then move your cursor until it turns into a solid plus sign at the bottom-right of the cell, push the mouse button down, and if you double-click on it, it instantly goes and pastes the formula onto all the other cells so that you have, if you look, you can see the same, the same formula is on all the other cells, where the row numbers have been updated each time. So I hope this has been helpful. I'm Ted, and today I showed you how to add in Excel. Thanks for watching.
