I'm Aaron Tucker, and this is how to secure shoelaces. Before anything, you want to make sure that you have shoelaces that are in good condition. If the elasticity is kind of wearing in the shoelaces or the materials are coming apart, this is going to affect how tight the shoelaces are tied because they will start to pull in some. So make sure you are working with shoelaces that are in good condition before you even lace your shoes up. Lace your shoes as you normally would, make sure everything is even, make sure that your shoelaces are even because if they are uneven, you are going to get a lot of weight on one side which is also going to cause your shoelaces to not lace tightly or stay laced properly. Once all of this is done, you want to tie your shoelaces as you normally would. Once you get those first sets of bows in create another set of bows which is like a double knot. This way you are reinforcing your shoelaces, you're going to make sure they are tight, you are going to make sure they stay in place and you are not going to have to keep tying your shoelaces throughout the day.
