Hi, this is Katie. I’m the founder and blogger of Pear Shaped Girl. Today, we’re at Ann Taylor, and we’re going to talk about the best shoes if you have thick ankles or heavy calves. The best shoe, in my opinion, is a nude shoe. With a pointed toe, you’re going to create a really elongated leg. This is a great, smaller heel, but obviously the higher heel you have, the more your leg is going to look longer and leaner. You can wear knee-high boots if you have thick ankles and calves. Look for something that has an elastic back – they’re very fashionable right now, so you don’t have to sacrifice on style to have a boot that fits you well. If you’re opting for a black shoe, a pointed toe is always going to look better. If you can wear tights, it’s going to create a longer, leaner look. If not, just make sure that the heel is a nice height that makes your legs look longer.
