Hi, my name is Ashley Blanton. And today, we're going to learn how to get micros on with long hair. So, you already have long hair, awesome. You won't have to worry about it not blending, it won't look fake and it's easy to do. You can make your hair a little bit longer or make it thick. Or you can use the extensions to make fun highlights with like pinks, blonds, blacks, whatever. We're going to learn how to do it today on your long hair. Alright, for Micro Links, you need a few things. Firstly, you need extensions made for the Micro Link method. That is going to be your I-tip or shoelace tip or Micro Link tip extension. You'll need a crimper or an extension plier, a rat tooth comb to make neat parts, as well as Micro Beads that will fit the size of your extension. So, we make a really neat part, about a quarter inch between parts. And also another quarter inch section for the extension. So, we have our part, we're going to take our threader, you can also use a crochet hook. We're going to take her hair taut, pull it through the threader, pull the bead up and loop it through. Now, we have our Micro Link bead attached to the natural hair. We're going to take our shoelace tip extension and we're going to insert the extension into the bead. O.k., once that done, we're going to clamp it with pliers. Keep in mind, you don't want the bead to go way up to the scalp, because there'll be too much tension. You want to kind of be a little bit below the parting, so it can flow or fall naturally. And that is how you install Micro Link extensions on long hair.
