Hey, Charles Henson here. Today, I'm going to show you how to change your wireless settings on a D-Link router. You may want to change your wireless settings from time to time especially if you've given out wireless security code to a lot of friends or family that have been over for the holidays. So what we can do is under the basic configuration of wireless we are going to change the SSID name. We can call it whatever you would like to call it. My Wi-Fi or TBI however you want to name it. And then you can choose to auto generate a code which is a very confusing code. Or you can say that I want to choose my own code. Here you would type in whatever you would like your Wi-Fi password to be. And then you would choose save. So now that we've saved our settings and the router has rebooted we are going to have to remember to go into our PC and actually change our Wi-Fi there. Or your phone or any other tablets or devices that you may have. You want to connect them to the new Wi-Fi. Once the screen comes back up you'll notice that it has your network key. And your SSID. So now on your device you can go and connect the wireless to the my Wi-Fi and your network key is going to be what you typed in in that field. Now that you have your wireless settings changed you're the only one that has access to it. You can give that out to anyone else that you may want to but you'll have piece of mind that knowing that no one else has access to your wireless internet.
