Hi, I'm Skylar. I want to watch a movie on my iPhone that's actually on my computer. So in order to do this, I'm going to download and set up something called VLC Streamer, and I'm gonna do it using the free version. Alright, on my computer, first search for download VLC streamer helper. It will probably bring you right to this page. So, get the correct helper for your computer. Once you've downloaded that, stick it in your applications folder or in my programs, wherever. Okay, so now, on your phone, swipe here and type in app store, and search for VLC streamer, and tap free. Okay, so it's this one right here, and I've already got it installed on my phone, so I'm going to open it, and since I've installed the VLC Streamer helper, and run it, I can see my computer here. So I'll tap Skylar. Mind you, you have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network on both your laptop or computer and your iPhone. Okay, then tap add a movie. So, this shows you your finder, your file hierarchy, and I've gone to the movies directory. I'm just gonna scroll down and find a movie that I like to see. Okay, I can choose to either stream it to the phone or copy it to iPhone. So I'm gonna switch over to say high resolution, fast network, and tap watch. It generally takes a second to buffer. There it is. Gonna pause it. So you see that in the free version you've got a few ads at the bottom, but it does work. Small price to pay, a 1.99 to get the full version and remove those ads. That's it though. In five minutes you can easily be streaming content from your computer to your iPhone. Thanks for watching, I'm Skylar.
